The Seed Of Adam
Some songs come from trying to make something that sounds good.
Others come from somewhere you probably didn’t even want to visit.
“The Seed of Adam” is one of those records.
This video is raw footage of me singing the song exactly how it felt in the moment. No big production. No polished music video. No character to hide behind. Just the record, the emotion, and the camera.
The song comes from a place of frustration, guilt, disappointment, betrayal, and questioning yourself. It’s about knowing people expect you to keep going, keep shining, keep becoming something — while a part of you is wondering what happens when you’re simply tired of fighting with yourself.
“Grandma said son gotta shine, but what if I don’t wanna rise again”
There’s also betrayal in it. Looking back at somebody you genuinely considered a friend and realizing that relationship changed the way you saw yourself.
“You was my friend for real, wish that we never shook hands for real”
And underneath all of it is the same request:
Give me a chance.
A chance to get it right.A chance to become better.A chance to stop running.A chance to be human.
That’s what The Seed of Adam means to me.
Adam represents the beginning of mankind, flawed from the start, capable of making mistakes, carrying consequences, and still searching for redemption. In that sense, every one of us carries something from that same seed.
We fall.
We hide.
We lie.
We regret.
We ask for another chance.
This isn’t the finished vision for the record. It’s a glimpse into where the song started and what it sounds like before everything gets cleaned up, mixed, mastered, packaged, and presented to the world.
Sometimes the raw version tells you more than the finished one ever could.
This is the seed of Adam.
